Anti-Spam and Abuse Policy
What counts as spam and abuse on Indo Mail, the sending limits that protect everyone's mail delivery, how we enforce them, and how to report abuse.
1. What is not allowed
- Sending bulk or commercial mail to people who did not ask for it.
- Bought, rented or scraped address lists.
- Phishing, malware, fake invoices, lottery or job scams, and pretending to be someone else.
- Hiding who you are, forging headers, or using many accounts to get round limits.
- Using Indo Mail to harass, threaten or abuse anyone.
2. Sending limits
| Account | Limit |
|---|---|
| New personal account, first 7 days | 50 recipients a day |
| Personal account after 7 days | 500 recipients a day |
| Business accounts | Set by plan; higher limits on request after review |
Bulk transactional mail, such as receipts and alerts for a business, needs a business account and prior approval from sales@indoemail.in.
3. Rules for permitted bulk mail
- Send only to people who agreed to hear from you.
- Every marketing email must say who it is from and have a working unsubscribe link, handled within 10 days.
- Keep bounces and complaints low; we may pause sending if they rise.
4. How we detect and act
Automatic checks look at sending volume, bounces, spam reports and suspicious sign-ins. They do not read message content to decide on enforcement. Depending on the case we warn the account, slow its sending, pause sending, or suspend it. Serious abuse such as phishing or malware is suspended at once.
5. Reporting abuse
Inside Indo Mail, use Report spam or Report phishing. From outside, forward the full message with its headers to abuse@indoemail.in. Copyright and trademark complaints go to legal@indoemail.in under our IP policies.
6. Appeals
If you think we acted by mistake, write to appeal@indoemail.in. A different person reviews the decision, normally within 7 business days. You can then go to our Grievance Officer at grievance@indoemail.in.
