Getting started

Create an Indo Mail account

  1. Go to indoemail.in/signup.
  2. Choose your address — it ends in @indoemail.in and cannot be changed later.
  3. Pick a strong password and add a recovery email or phone so you can always get back in.
  4. Pass the human check and accept the Terms. Your inbox opens at once, with a welcome email.

Install the apps on your phone and computer

  1. On Android, open indoemail.in/get-apps and download Indo Mail. Allow installs from your browser when Android asks.
  2. On iPhone, open indoemail.in in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
  3. On a computer, open indoemail.in in Chrome or Edge and choose Install from the address bar.

Bring your mail and contacts from Gmail or Outlook

  1. Open Settings → Accounts and Import → Import mail and contacts.
  2. Sign in to the old account when asked, or upload an .mbox, .vcf or .csv file.
  3. Keep both accounts for a week and set a forward on the old account so nothing is lost.

Open another Indo app

  1. Click the apps button (nine dots) at the top right.
  2. Each app opens in its own browser tab, so your inbox stays where it was.
  3. Lily and the phone apps open in the same page.

Mail

Write and send an email

  1. Click Compose.
  2. Add recipients, a subject and your message. Attach files up to 25 MB, or share bigger files from Indo Drive.
  3. Choose Send, or schedule it with the arrow beside Send.

Send a secure (confidential) message

  1. In Compose, turn on Secure mail.
  2. Choose when access ends — 1 day to 5 years — and whether the reader needs a one-time code.
  3. Recipients get a link; you can remove access at any time from the Sent folder.

Undo a sent email

  1. Right after sending, choose Undo in the message at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Set how long you have to undo in Settings → General → Undo send (5 to 30 seconds).

Filter, label and block senders

  1. Open an email, choose More → Filter messages like this.
  2. Pick what should happen: label, archive, star, forward or delete.
  3. To block someone, open their email and choose More → Block sender.

Report spam and phishing

  1. Open the email and choose Report spam, or More → Report phishing.
  2. Never type your password or a code into a page you reached from an email. Indo Mail will never ask for it.

Account and security

I forgot my password

  1. Go to indoemail.in/login and choose Forgot password?
  2. Enter your Indo Mail address and pass the human check.
  3. Type the 6-digit code we send to your recovery email, then choose a new password. Other devices are signed out.

Turn on 2-Step Verification

  1. Open Settings → Security → 2-Step Verification.
  2. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app, or add a passkey.
  3. Save the backup codes somewhere safe, offline.

Sign in with a passkey or your phone

  1. Open Settings → Security → Passkeys and add this device.
  2. Next time, choose Sign in with a passkey and confirm with your fingerprint, face or screen lock.
  3. Or choose Sign in with your phone and scan the QR code from an already signed-in phone.

My account may be hacked

  1. Change your password at once and turn on 2-Step Verification.
  2. Open Settings → Security → Sign out everywhere.
  3. Check filters, forwarding and the recovery email for changes you did not make.
  4. Open a Security case at indoemail.in/support — it is handled first.

Privacy

Where is my data stored?

  1. The data of Indian accounts is stored in India, in the Amazon Web Services Mumbai region.
  2. Details are on our data centre page: indoemail.in/data-centres.

Does Indo Mail read my email for ads?

  1. No. Ads on the Free plan are chosen from the folder and your language, never from the content of your mail.
  2. Paid plans have no ads at all. We never sell personal data.

Download or delete my data

  1. Open Settings → Accounts and Import → Download your data to get a copy of mail, contacts, calendar and files.
  2. To delete your account, choose Delete account. It is removed for good after 30 days.

Contact the Grievance Officer

  1. Write to grievance@indoemail.in, or open a Grievance case at indoemail.in/support.
  2. We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days, as the IT Rules, 2021 and the DPDP Act, 2023 require.

Apps

Upload files and folders to Indo Drive

  1. Open Indo Drive and choose New → File upload or Folder upload, or drag files into the window.
  2. Share with a link, choose who can view or edit, and see storage at the bottom left.

Start or join a meeting

  1. Open Indo Meet and choose New meeting, or paste a meeting code.
  2. Allow the camera and microphone. Use Raise hand, Reactions and Messages at the bottom.

Share a booking page

  1. In Indo Calendar, choose Booking pages → New.
  2. Set your hours, length and buffer, then share the link. Bookings appear on your calendar automatically.

Sign or merge PDFs

  1. Open Indo PDF, choose a file from your device or Drive.
  2. Choose Sign to draw or type a signature, or Merge, Split and Compress from the left.

Collect files in Indo Forms

  1. Add a question and choose the File upload type.
  2. Choose the file types and size limit. Files arrive in your Indo Drive in a folder for the form.

Play videos and music

  1. Open Indo Player, or open any video or audio file in Drive.
  2. Use the speed, subtitles, loop and playlist controls. Keyboard: Space plays or pauses, ← and → skip 10 seconds.

Business

Use Indo Mail with my own domain

  1. Go to indoemail.in/signup-business and enter your domain.
  2. Add the DNS records we show (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) at your domain registrar.
  3. Choose Verify. Mail starts arriving within minutes once DNS updates.

Create my Business Profile

  1. Open Indo Business Profile and choose Add your business.
  2. Enter the name, category, address or service area, hours and phone.
  3. Verify by email or document. Then add photos, posts, products and reply to reviews.

Plans and prices

  1. Free: 50 GB. Pro: ₹99 a month or ₹999 a year, 100 GB. Plus: ₹149 a month or ₹1,499 a year, 200 GB. Premium 5 TB: ₹3,600 a month or ₹35,999 a year.
  2. Business Starter is free for up to 10 mailboxes. Prices include GST.

Cancel or get a refund

  1. Open Indo Cloud → Plan → Cancel. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for.
  2. Refunds follow indoemail.in/legal/refund-and-cancellation.

Troubleshooting

I am not receiving email

  1. Check Spam, Promotions and your filters.
  2. Check storage in Indo Cloud — a full account cannot receive mail.
  3. See indoemail.in/status for service problems.

I cannot sign in

  1. Check the address ends in @indoemail.in and Caps Lock is off.
  2. Use Forgot password? or Sign in with an email code.
  3. After 5 wrong tries, wait 15 minutes.

The app is slow or looks broken

  1. Reload the page, then clear the site data for indoemail.in.
  2. Update your browser. Turn off extensions that block scripts for indoemail.in.

Safety

Spot a scam email or job offer

  1. Indo Mail never asks for passwords, OTPs or payment by email, call or chat.
  2. Job offers come only from @indoemail.in or @indochats.com, and we never charge a fee.
  3. Report it with More → Report phishing.

Report harm to a child

  1. Write to safety@indoemail.in or open an Abuse case — it is reviewed first.
  2. In India, you can also report at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930.
