Indo Calendar: privacy and terms
Indo Calendar is part of Indo Mail, run by INDO CHATS PRIVATE LIMITED. It is for events, reminders and invitations. This page explains, for Indo Calendar only, what it keeps and the extra rules that apply. It adds to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Privacy notice
What Indo Calendar keeps
- Your calendars, events, reminders, guests and their replies, and booking pages.
- An event's own time zone, if you choose one.
- Your tasks, with their notes and due dates.
- Your out of office dates and message, if you turn it on.
- Which of your events are focus time.
- Guests you invite receive an email invitation that works in any calendar app.
Who can see it
- You, and the people you share a calendar with. Guests see the events they are invited to.
- With Find a time, guests who share free/busy see only when you are busy, never what the event is.
- Indo Mail staff do not look at your content, except when you ask us for help, to stop abuse, or when the law requires it.
How long it is kept
- Events stay until you delete them.
- Tasks stay until you delete them. Tasks marked done are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- If you close your Indo Mail account, everything this app keeps is deleted 30 days later (a grace period in case the closure was a mistake or a hacker). Copies in our backups are overwritten within 35 days after that.
- Some records are kept longer only where the law says so, for example invoices (8 years) and sign-in records (1 year). See the Data Retention Policy.
Your choices
- Share or stop sharing calendars, and choose reminders, in Calendar settings.
- Turn out of office on or off. When it is on and set to decline, invitations for those days are declined for you and the organiser gets your message.
- Mark an event as focus time. New invitations during it are declined for you, and the organiser is told you have focus time (not what the event is).
- All of Indo Calendar's settings are in one place: Indo Calendar settings.
Where it is kept
- Your data is kept on Indo Mail servers in India. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Questions
Write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@indoemail.in. You can also ask to see, correct or delete your data, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 allows.
Additional terms
These terms apply when you use Indo Calendar. They add to the Indo Mail Terms of Service. If the two differ, these terms apply to Indo Calendar.
- Booking pages are public to anyone with the link.
- We keep improving Indo Calendar and may add, change or remove features. If a change takes away something important, we will tell you in advance where we can.
