Privacy notice

What Indo Drive keeps

• Your files and folders, their names and sizes, who you shared them with, share links, and a short history of changes.
• Comments on files: the text, who wrote it and when.
• Files you make available offline are copied onto that device only (up to 500 MB). We do not keep a list of them.
• Requests for access: who asked, their message, and your answer.
• Shared drives: their members and the files members add.

Who can see it

• You, and the people or link holders you share a file or folder with. A share link can have a password, an end date and a download limit.
• Anyone who can open a file can read its comments.
• Every member of a shared drive sees everything in it. Files a member adds count towards that member's storage.
• Indo Mail staff do not look at your content, except when you ask us for help, to stop abuse, or when the law requires it.

How long it is kept

• Files stay until you delete them. Deleted files go to Bin first.
• When you delete a file for ever, it is removed from storage, with its comments and access requests.
• If you close your Indo Mail account, everything this app keeps is deleted 30 days later (a grace period in case the closure was a mistake or a hacker). Copies in our backups are overwritten within 35 days after that.
• Some records are kept longer only where the law says so, for example invoices (8 years) and sign-in records (1 year). See the Data Retention Policy.

Your choices

• Share and stop sharing at any time, or turn a link off.
• Approve or deny requests for access. Only share with people you know.
• Make files available offline, or remove the offline copies, from a file's menu or Drive › Offline. Signing out removes them from the device.
• Resolve or delete comments on your files.
• Choose a comfortable or compact view in Settings › Indo Drive.
• Download your files from Settings › Download your data.

Where it is kept

• Your data is kept on Indo Mail servers in India. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Questions

Write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@indoemail.in. You can also ask to see, correct or delete your data, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 allows.

Additional terms

These terms apply when you use Indo Drive. They add to the Indo Mail Terms of Service. If the two differ, these terms apply to Indo Drive.

• Do not store or share content you have no right to share, or that breaks the law. We may remove share links that are used for abuse.
• We keep improving Indo Drive and may add, change or remove features. If a change takes away something important, we will tell you in advance where we can.
