Privacy notice

What Indo Mail keeps

• Your messages, attachments, drafts, labels, filters, templates, signatures and settings.
• The time, IP address and device of each sign-in, to keep your account safe.

Who can see it

• You. People you write to see what you send them.
• If your address belongs to a company domain, that company's administrator can manage the account under the company's own rules.
• Indo Mail staff do not look at your content, except when you ask us for help, to stop abuse, or when the law requires it.

How long it is kept

• Messages stay until you delete them.
• Deleted messages stay in Bin for 30 days, then are deleted automatically. Messages in Spam are deleted automatically after 30 days.
• Sign-in records are kept for 1 year.
• If you close your Indo Mail account, everything this app keeps is deleted 30 days later (a grace period in case the closure was a mistake or a hacker). Copies in our backups are overwritten within 35 days after that.
• Some records are kept longer only where the law says so, for example invoices (8 years) and sign-in records (1 year). See the Data Retention Policy.

Your choices

• Delete messages, empty Bin and Spam at any time.
• Download a copy of your mail from Settings › Download your data.
• Turn HexAI writing help on or off in Settings.
• Choose Multiple inboxes in Settings › Inbox. The sections you choose are kept on your device, not on our servers.
• HexAI Help me write works in new emails and in replies, on the computer and on the phone, and only when you press it.
• All of Indo Mail's settings are in one place: Indo Mail settings.

Where it is kept

• Your data is kept on Indo Mail servers in India. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
• When you ask HexAI for help here, the text needed for that one request is sent to the AI model run for Indo Mail in Mumbai, India. It is not kept by the model and is not used to train AI models.

Questions

Write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@indoemail.in. You can also ask to see, correct or delete your data, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 allows.

Additional terms

These terms apply when you use Indo Mail. They add to the Indo Mail Terms of Service. If the two differ, these terms apply to Indo Mail.

• Do not use Indo Mail to send spam, bulk mail people did not ask for, phishing or malware. Our Anti-Spam and Abuse Policy applies.
• We may hold back or limit sending from an account that is sending spam or has been taken over, to protect you and other people.
• We keep improving Indo Mail and may add, change or remove features. If a change takes away something important, we will tell you in advance where we can.
