Privacy notice

What Indo Passwords keeps

• Your saved passwords, locked on your device with your master password (AES-256). We store only the locked copy and can never see or recover your passwords.
• Password Checkup runs on your device. Your passwords are never sent anywhere to be checked.

Who can see it

• Only you, after unlocking the vault with your master password.
• Indo Mail staff do not look at your content, except when you ask us for help, to stop abuse, or when the law requires it.

How long it is kept

• Passwords stay until you delete them. Starting a new vault deletes all of them.
• If you close your Indo Mail account, everything this app keeps is deleted 30 days later (a grace period in case the closure was a mistake or a hacker). Copies in our backups are overwritten within 35 days after that.
• Some records are kept longer only where the law says so, for example invoices (8 years) and sign-in records (1 year). See the Data Retention Policy.

Your choices

• Choose when the vault locks itself and when a copied password is cleared (Settings › Indo Passwords).
• All of Indo Passwords's settings are in one place: Indo Passwords settings.

Where it is kept

• Your data is kept on Indo Mail servers in India. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Questions

Write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@indoemail.in. You can also ask to see, correct or delete your data, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 allows.

Additional terms

These terms apply when you use Indo Passwords. They add to the Indo Mail Terms of Service. If the two differ, these terms apply to Indo Passwords.

• If you forget your master password, your saved passwords cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
• We keep improving Indo Passwords and may add, change or remove features. If a change takes away something important, we will tell you in advance where we can.
