Privacy notice

What Indo Translate keeps

• Your last 50 translations (the history) and the translations you save. Conversation mode keeps nothing: the conversation stays on your screen until you leave or clear it.
• Text, documents and pictures you translate are sent to the translation service on our servers for that request. Translations of your emails are not kept.

Who can see it

• You.
• Indo Mail staff do not look at your content, except when you ask us for help, to stop abuse, or when the law requires it.

How long it is kept

• History keeps only your latest 50 translations. Saved translations stay until you delete them.
• If you close your Indo Mail account, everything this app keeps is deleted 30 days later (a grace period in case the closure was a mistake or a hacker). Copies in our backups are overwritten within 35 days after that.
• Some records are kept longer only where the law says so, for example invoices (8 years) and sign-in records (1 year). See the Data Retention Policy.

Your choices

• Clear your history at any time.
• Choose the language Indo Translate opens with (Settings › Indo Translate).
• All of Indo Translate's settings are in one place: Indo Translate settings.

Where it is kept

• Your data is kept on Indo Mail servers in India. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Questions

Write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@indoemail.in. You can also ask to see, correct or delete your data, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 allows.

Additional terms

These terms apply when you use Indo Translate. They add to the Indo Mail Terms of Service. If the two differ, these terms apply to Indo Translate.

• Machine translation can be wrong. Check important translations, such as legal or medical text, with a person.
• We keep improving Indo Translate and may add, change or remove features. If a change takes away something important, we will tell you in advance where we can.
