Indo Wallet: privacy and terms
Indo Wallet is part of Indo Mail, run by INDO CHATS PRIVATE LIMITED. It is for payment requests, links and QR codes. This page explains, for Indo Wallet only, what it keeps and the extra rules that apply. It adds to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Privacy notice
What Indo Wallet keeps
- Your payment requests and their status.
- Passes and tickets you add: their name, type, code, number, name on the pass, date, place, seat, colour and notes.
- Indo Wallet never holds money and never sees card numbers, PINs or bank passwords. Payments are made in your own bank or UPI app.
Who can see it
- You, and the people you send a request to. Only you see your passes and tickets.
- Indo Mail staff do not look at your content, except when you ask us for help, to stop abuse, or when the law requires it.
How long it is kept
- Requests stay in your account until you close it.
- Passes stay until you delete them.
- If you close your Indo Mail account, everything this app keeps is deleted 30 days later (a grace period in case the closure was a mistake or a hacker). Copies in our backups are overwritten within 35 days after that.
- Some records are kept longer only where the law says so, for example invoices (8 years) and sign-in records (1 year). See the Data Retention Policy.
Your choices
- Mark a request as paid or cancel it.
- Add, edit or delete passes and tickets. Reading a code from a picture is done in your browser; the picture is not sent to us.
- All of Indo Wallet's settings are in one place: Indo Wallet settings.
Where it is kept
- Your data is kept on Indo Mail servers in India. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Questions
Write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@indoemail.in. You can also ask to see, correct or delete your data, as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 allows.
Additional terms
These terms apply when you use Indo Wallet. They add to the Indo Mail Terms of Service. If the two differ, these terms apply to Indo Wallet.
- Indo Wallet is not a bank or a payment service and does not hold money for you. Payments, refunds and disputes are between you, the other person and your bank.
- We keep improving Indo Wallet and may add, change or remove features. If a change takes away something important, we will tell you in advance where we can.
