1. Our mission

We are building email that respects the people who use it. Indo Mail is a free, private email service made in India, with business email on your own domain and a family of everyday apps on one account. Our promise is simple: AI-Native Mail. Zero Data Sharing. We never sell data, we use no third-party trackers, and the data of Indian accounts stays in India.

Indo Mail is made by INDO CHATS PRIVATE LIMITED, a DPIIT-recognised start-up with its registered office in Howrah, West Bengal, and its business headquarters in Kolkata. We are early. The product is live and growing, and the team is small. That means every person who joins later will shape how the service works, sounds and earns trust.

2. Open roles right now

We have no open roles at the moment. We are not running a recruitment process, and nobody is authorised to promise you a job today. Please do not pay anyone to be considered for a role at Indo Mail (see section 9).

We would still like to hear from capable people who care about privacy, quality and India. You can register your interest at any time, and we will keep your details for future openings under the rules in section 7.

3. Roles we expect to open later

The list below shows the kinds of work we expect to need as Indo Mail grows. These are not job advertisements. No role on this list is open, no hiring decision has been made and no timeline is promised.

4. How we work

We are a small team with a big job, so we try to work in ways that keep quality high and people calm.

• Write it down. Decisions, plans and policies are written in plain language so that anyone can read them and ask questions.
• Ship in small steps. We release often, check each change and fix problems quickly instead of waiting for perfect.
• Own the result. People who build something also look after it once it is live, including support and security.
• Be honest about the state of the product. If something is planned, we say it is planned. If we get something wrong, we say so and fix it.
• Protect user data first. Anything that touches user data is designed with the smallest access needed.
• Respect time. We keep meetings short and have clear goals, and we respect people's rest and families.
• Work from India, for India and the world. Our home is Kolkata and Howrah, and we are proud of building from here.

6. How to register your interest

Write to careers@indoemail.in with a subject line that starts with the word Interest followed by your area of work, for example "Interest: Backend engineering". Tell us in a few lines who you are, what you enjoy building or doing, where you are based and whether you can work in Kolkata, remotely or both. A short link to your work, such as a portfolio or a public project, helps more than a long covering letter.

Please attach nothing that is larger than 10 MB. We cannot reply to every message, but we read each one. If a suitable role opens, we will write to you from a careers@indoemail.in or contact@indoemail.in address.

7. How we handle your application details

When you write to us, we use your name, email address and the details you share only to consider you for work at Indo Mail. We do not sell them or share them with advertisers. We keep expression-of-interest emails for up to 12 months and then delete them unless you ask us to keep them longer. You can ask us to delete your details at any time by writing to privacy@indoemail.in. Please do not send government identity numbers, bank details or copies of identity documents in your first message. We will tell you when and why we need any such document, at the offer stage only, and handle it as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

9. Recruitment fraud warning

Scammers sometimes pretend to be a company and offer jobs in return for money. Please read this section carefully.

• Indo Mail never asks for money. We do not charge application fees, training fees, registration fees, security deposits, equipment fees or any other payment at any stage of hiring.
• We do not hire through chat apps alone. Real messages about work come from an @indoemail.in address. A job offer from a free webmail address or a messaging app that claims to be from us is fake.
• We do not offer jobs without interviews. Nobody at Indo Mail will give you an offer without speaking with you.
• We do not ask for your passwords or one-time codes. Never share them with anyone who says they are recruiting for us.
• Check the address. Make sure messages come from a domain that is exactly indoemail.in. Look-alike spellings and different domains are warning signs.
• Remember that no roles are open now. If someone offers you a job at Indo Mail today, it is not a real offer.

If you receive a suspicious offer, do not pay and do not reply. Forward it to abuse@indoemail.in. You can also report online financial fraud to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or by calling 1930 in India.
