Logo Usage
How to use the Indo Mail logo and app icon correctly: official files, clear space, minimum size, colours, backgrounds, misuse examples and how to ask permission. For partners, journalists, agencies and staff.
1. About this page
The Indo Mail logo and app icon tell people that a message, page or product really comes from us. Used well, they build trust. Used badly, they can confuse people or make a scam look genuine. This page explains what you may do, what you may not do and how to ask for anything outside these rules.
It sits alongside the Brand Guidelines, which explain our colours, type and tone. Where the two documents differ on logo matters, this page applies. The Indo Mail name, logo and icon belong to INDO CHATS PRIVATE LIMITED. Nothing on this page transfers ownership or grants a licence beyond the uses described here.
2. Official logo and icon files
Use only the files we publish on indoemail.in. Do not redraw, trace, screenshot or recreate the logo from a photo. The files below are the complete official set today.
| File | Address | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| App icon, 512 pixels | https://indoemail.in/icons/icon-512.png | The main Indo Mail mark. Use it in articles, partner pages, app listings and presentations. |
| Maskable icon, 512 pixels | https://indoemail.in/icons/maskable-512.png | Phone home screens that crop icons into circles or rounded squares. It has extra padding so nothing important is cut off. |
| Favicon | https://indoemail.in/icons/favicon.png | Browser tabs and bookmarks on pages that are about Indo Mail. |
| Apple touch icon | https://indoemail.in/icons/apple-touch-icon.png | The icon that appears when someone adds indoemail.in to an iPhone or iPad home screen. |
If you need a different format, such as a vector file, a single-colour version or a larger image for print, write to contact@indoemail.in with the subject "Logo use" and tell us where it will appear. We will send the right file or explain why we cannot.
3. Clear space
Clear space is an empty margin around the logo that keeps it readable. Leave a margin on every side equal to at least one quarter of the logo's width. Nothing may enter this margin: no text, no other logo, no edge of the page, no photograph detail and no decorative line.
When the logo sits beside a partner's logo, the clear space of each logo must stay free, so the two marks never touch. See the co-branding rules in the Brand Guidelines for how to place them side by side.
4. Minimum size
Small logos become blurry and unreadable. Do not show the logo smaller than the sizes below.
| Where it appears | Minimum size | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Screens, web pages and apps | 24 pixels wide | Use the favicon file for anything this small. |
| Print, brochures and documents | 10 mm wide | Measure the printed logo, not the file. |
| Social media profile picture | 180 pixels wide | Use the 512-pixel icon and let the platform crop it. |
| Presentation slides | 12 mm wide on the slide | Keep it in a corner or on the title slide. |
There is no maximum size, but do not let the logo dominate a page that is not about Indo Mail.
5. Logo colours
The logo appears in its official colours. Do not change them to match your own design. The brand palette that supports the logo is set out in the Brand Guidelines.
| Colour | Hex code | Where it is used with the logo |
|---|---|---|
| Indo Blue | #0061FD | The main colour of the mark and the wordmark. |
| White | #FFFFFF | Logo details on a blue tile, and the page behind the logo on light layouts. |
| Navy | #0B2545 | Headings placed next to the logo on official documents. |
| Light surface | #F6F8FC | A soft page background behind the logo. |
| Dark surface | #111418 | The page background in dark theme, where the white version of the logo is used. |
6. Backgrounds
The logo must always be easy to see. Place it on a background that gives strong contrast, and check it at the size you will use.
- Best: white, Light surface (#F6F8FC) or Navy (#0B2545) backgrounds.
- Acceptable: a plain, calm photograph with an even tone, as long as the logo stays sharp and clearly visible.
- Not allowed: busy patterns, gradients that pass behind the logo, bright saffron or red fields, and photographs with detailed areas under the logo.
- On dark layouts, use the version of the icon that stays visible on dark surfaces. If you are unsure which file to use, ask us before you publish.
7. Misuse: what not to do
Please do not change the logo in any way. The following are the most common mistakes, and all of them are prohibited.
| Do not | Why |
|---|---|
| Stretch, squash, skew or rotate the logo | It distorts the mark and makes it look unofficial. |
| Change its colours, add outlines, shadows, glows or bevels | Altered colours can make genuine and fake material hard to tell apart. |
| Crop it, cover part of it or place it partly off the page | A partial mark is not our mark. |
| Redraw it, re-type it in another font or add words to it | Only the supplied files are official. |
| Combine it with another logo or symbol into one new mark | It suggests a merger or ownership that does not exist. |
| Use it as a pattern, watermark or part of a product name | It makes the logo look decorative and weakens its meaning. |
| Use it in an email sender image, profile picture or website that copies Indo Mail's sign-in pages | This is phishing and may be reported as abuse. |
| Use it in a way that suggests we endorse, certify or sponsor you | We do not do so without a signed agreement. |
| Use it on political material or for any campaign | Indo Mail does not take part in political activity. |
| Use it on adult, hateful, misleading or unlawful material | It harms the trust of our users. |
8. Who may use the logo, and how
Some uses need no permission. Others need our written approval first.
| Use | Permission needed? | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| News articles, reviews and blog posts about Indo Mail | No | Use unaltered official files and describe Indo Mail accurately. |
| Telling readers how to reach or contact Indo Mail | No | Do not imply you are Indo Mail or work for it. |
| Tutorials and training that show the real product | No | Screenshots must follow the screenshot rules in Marketing Resources. |
| Partner, reseller or event pages | Yes | Written approval from contact@indoemail.in, subject "Logo use". |
| Merchandise, signage or print campaigns | Yes | Written approval and a review of the final proof. |
| Apps, tools or websites that connect to Indo Mail | Yes | Approval is needed, and the logo must not suggest the product is ours. |
| Advertising that names Indo Mail | Yes | Approval is needed, and claims must follow our approved-claims list. |
9. How to ask for permission
Send an email to contact@indoemail.in with the subject Logo use. Tell us who you are, the name of your organisation, where and how the logo will appear, the dates of use and, if possible, a draft or mock-up. We aim to reply within seven working days.
Approval is given for one stated purpose and period. It does not carry over to a new campaign or a new product. We may withdraw approval in writing if the logo is used in a way that breaks this page, and you must then stop using it promptly.
10. Reporting misuse
If you see the Indo Mail logo on a website, email or app that looks fake, misleading or harmful, please tell us. For anything that tries to steal passwords or money, write to abuse@indoemail.in and include the link or a screenshot. Do not enter your password on such a page.
11. Contact
