8. Screenshot rules
Screenshots are the most convincing way to show Indo Mail, and the easiest way to leak somebody's private information. Please follow these rules.
- Use screenshots of the real product only. Do not mock up features that do not exist, and do not show planned features as if they were live.
- Use made-up sample data: invented names, invented addresses and invented messages. Never show a real person's inbox, contacts, files or photos without their written permission.
- Blur or remove passwords, authenticator codes, sign-in history details, IP addresses and security keys.
- Do not crop out the Indo Mail name or alter the interface.
- Use the current look of the app. Remove screenshots that show old designs when the product changes.
- Add a short alternative text description to each image so that screen-reader users can follow your page.
- Do not show advertisements next to claims of a no-ads experience unless the picture is of a paid plan.
