The agreement between you and INDO CHATS PRIVATE LIMITED for using Indo Mail and its 21 apps. It covers accounts, plans and billing, acceptable use, your content, our role as an intermediary, suspension, liability and how disputes are resolved.

1. At a glance

These Terms are the agreement between you and INDO CHATS PRIVATE LIMITED, the company that runs Indo Mail (CIN U62012WR2026PTC295588, 168, GT Rd, near Aloka Cinema, Shibpur, Howrah, West Bengal 711102, India). They explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

  • Your content stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, show it to you and the people you choose, and run the features you use.
  • Use Indo Mail lawfully and respect others: no spam, fraud, harassment, malware or illegal content.
  • Free features are free. Paid plans are billed in rupees plus 18% GST, and you can cancel any time.
  • Indian law applies and disputes go to the courts in Kolkata.
  • Questions: legal@indoemail.in. Grievance Officer: Ejaz Ahmed, grievance@indoemail.in (complaints acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 7 days).

2. Our software and apps

  • We give you a personal, worldwide, free, non-exclusive licence to use the Indo Mail apps (web, Android and iPhone) as part of the service. You may not copy, sell, reverse-engineer or resell the apps except where the law allows it.
  • Apps may update themselves to add features or fix problems. Some features need a recent app version.

3. AI features (Lily)

  • Lily's writing, summaries, translations, suggestions and answers are produced by AI and can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them or send them.
  • You are responsible for what you choose to send, publish or share, including text Lily drafted for you.
  • Do not use Lily to create unlawful content, to deceive people or to harm anyone. We may limit AI use to keep the service fair, for example with daily limits.
  • Lily never acts on your account without your confirmation.

4. Promo codes, vouchers and offers

  • A promo code or voucher gives the discount or benefit stated when it was issued, for the plans, dates and number of uses stated. Most codes work once per account and on a first payment only.
  • Codes have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or resold, and stop working after their end date or if they were obtained unfairly.
  • GST is charged on the price after the discount. Where a code makes the price ₹0, the plan starts without payment for the period stated.
  • Promotions may have extra terms, shown with the offer; by using a code you agree to them.

5. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve our services without any obligation to you.

6. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ('Terms') are a legal agreement between you and INDO CHATS PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U62012WR2026PTC295588), registered office 168, GT Rd, near Aloka Cinema, Shibpur, Howrah, West Bengal 711102, India ('Indo Mail', 'we', 'us'). They govern your use of Indo Mail, including the website at indoemail.in, the mail server at mail.indoemail.in, the web app, the installable web app, the Android app and iPhone app, and every app on your account (together, the 'Service').

You accept these Terms when you tick the box and create an account, or when you first use the Service, whichever is earlier. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use Indo Mail for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it, and 'you' then includes the organisation.

These Terms work together with our Data Protection Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Community Guidelines, Advertising Policies and the other policies published on indoemail.in. If a conflict arises, the more specific policy applies to its subject.

7. Who may use Indo Mail

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to hold an account. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18 until a verifiable parental-consent process under the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 is available.
  • You must not be barred from using the Service by any law that applies to you, or by the restrictions in section 15.
  • You must give true information when you sign up, including a working mobile number, and keep it up to date.
  • If we closed an account of yours for a serious breach, you may not open another without our written permission.

8. Your account and its security

Each account is personal to one person, except Business and Enterprise accounts, which are issued by an administrator to named users. You may not sell, rent, lend or transfer an account or an address.

You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done through your account. To help protect it, you should switch on 2-Step Verification in Settings and check your sign-in history from time to time. Tell us at once at security@indoemail.in if you think someone has used your account without permission. We are not liable for loss caused by your failure to keep your credentials safe, but we will help you recover a compromised account.

Do not create accounts in bulk or by automated means, and do not use a false identity. Addresses that impersonate another person or organisation, or that could mislead people, may be refused or withdrawn.

Business and Enterprise administrators control the accounts on their domain, including the ability to reset passwords, set policies and see sign-in history. They must tell their users that they have these powers and must use them lawfully.

9. The Service and its apps

One Indo Mail account gives access to 21 apps: Mail, Drive, Photos, Cloud, Contacts, Files, Maps, Translate, Wallet, Travel, Business Profile, Ads, Ad Manager, Indo Marketing Suite, Indo Local Ads, Search Ads, Shopping Ads, Indo Seller Hub, Manufacturer Center, Tag Manager and Indo Chats Ads. Indo Mail is a separate product and is not part of the Indo Chats super-app.

The Service changes as we improve it. Some features described on indoemail.in are labelled as planned. They are not promised for any date and you should not rely on them when buying a plan. We may add, change or retire features. If we make a change that materially reduces what you paid for, we will give you reasonable notice and, for a paid plan, a fair remedy as set out in section 6.

The Wallet app only creates UPI payment-request links and QR codes in Indian rupees. Indo Mail does not hold money and is not a bank, wallet issuer or payment aggregator. We never see your UPI PIN. Any payment you make is between you and the other party and your bank or UPI app. Indo Mail is not responsible for disputes between payers and payees.

Outgoing mail to outside email providers depends on approval that we are still waiting for from our email delivery partner. Mail between @indoemail.in addresses works normally. We will update indoemail.in when outside delivery is fully available.

10. Plans, prices, GST and storage

All prices are in Indian rupees (INR) and exclude 18% GST, which we add at checkout and show on your invoice, issued under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.

If you use more storage than your plan allows, we may stop new mail from arriving or new files from uploading until you free space or upgrade. We will warn you first. We will not delete your content only because you are over quota.

Outside India, prices are shown in your local currency at fixed price points (for example US$1.99, US$2.99, US$19.99 and US$31.99 a month for Premium 1 TB and Premium 2 TB); the currency comes from your account's country or, if none is set, your IP address. Indian GST applies to rupee prices only.

From 12 October 2026 the 100 GB, 200 GB and business prices are lower than comparable services (other email and calendar services), other email and calendar services+ and other email and calendar services for the same storage; the 1 TB, 2 TB and 5 TB plans are priced as listed in this table. Existing subscribers move to the lower price at their next renewal. Outside India: for example US$19.99, US$31.99 and US$71.99 a month for Premium 1 TB, 2 TB and 5 TB, US$1.79 per user per month for Business.

11. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds

Online checkout is not live yet. Until it launches, paid plans and add-ons are arranged by writing to sales@indoemail.in or billing@indoemail.in. When checkout launches, payments will be taken by an RBI-authorised payment aggregator, and we will update this section if the process changes.

These rules apply to every paid purchase, and they are designed to be fair to you and to follow the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020:

  • Clear price. The price, GST, renewal date and any limit are shown before you pay. We do not add hidden charges.
  • Renewal. Monthly and yearly plans renew at the end of each period at the then-current price. We tell you by email at least 7 days before a yearly renewal, and at least 30 days before any price increase on a plan you have already paid for.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Settings or by writing to billing@indoemail.in. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then reverts to Free. You can then keep using the Free plan, within its storage.
  • Pay in 4. A yearly plan can be paid in 4 equal parts every 3 months, with 0% interest and no fees. Each part is paid in advance for the next 3 months and has its own GST invoice. We email a reminder 3 days before each part is due and take it automatically if you saved a payment method; otherwise we send a payment link. If a part is still unpaid 7 days after its due date, the plan moves to Free and no data is lost. Promo codes and vouchers apply to the whole yearly price and are shared across the 4 parts. You may cancel at any time. Pay in 4 is not credit: we never pay or lend on your behalf. Real pay-later credit would need a regulated lending partner, and we do not offer it.
  • Instalment payment links (Indo Pay) and settling in parts (Indo Split). A business can offer its own customer a payment plan of 2 to 12 parts; each part is a payment request from that business. Indo Pay sends the requests and reminders but does not lend money, does not decide who gets a plan and does not carry the risk of a part not being paid. Settling in parts in Indo Split is a schedule agreed between people who share expenses, with reminders and no fees.
  • Refund if the Service fails. If we do not provide a paid feature as described, or the Service is unavailable for a long period that makes it substantially unusable, you may ask for a refund of the unused part of the period, or a credit.
  • Refund for new purchases. For a first purchase of a yearly plan, you may ask for a full refund within 7 days of payment if you have not breached these Terms. We refund within 7 working days of approving the request, to the original payment method.
  • Mistaken or duplicate charges. We refund them in full.
  • Other cases. Fees for a period already used, and add-ons such as migration that have been carried out, are not refundable unless the law says otherwise.
  • Your statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

If an invoice is unpaid, we will remind you and allow a reasonable grace period before we move a paid plan back to Free. We will not delete your content for non-payment without at least 30 days' notice.

12. Acceptable use and sending limits

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines. Without limit, you must not:

  • send spam, bulk unsolicited mail, phishing, scams or malware, or use the Service to commit fraud or impersonate anyone;
  • post, send or share content that is unlawful or that breaks Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (as amended), including child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, threats, hate and incitement to violence;
  • infringe another person's copyright, trade mark or other rights;
  • probe, scan or attack the Service, bypass its limits, or interfere with its operation, or access an account that is not yours;
  • use the Service for illegal gambling, illegal sale of goods, or any activity that is a crime in India;
  • run mailing lists to people who have not agreed to receive your mail, or hide the true source of mail;
  • reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the Service except as the law allows.

Send limit. Each account may send up to 500 messages per day. Attachments may be up to 25 MB per message. Drive files may be up to 5 GB each. We may lower limits for an account that shows signs of abuse or compromise. We apply limits fairly and explain them if you ask. Outgoing mail that cannot be delivered is retried for about 3 days, and you then receive a bounce message.

13. Your content and the licence you give us

You own your content. Your mail, files, photos, contacts and anything else you create or upload remain yours. We do not claim ownership of them.

You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process, transmit and display your content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the Service for you and to carry out your instructions. For example, we need to copy a message to deliver it, to scan it for malware, and to show it in your inbox. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for backups that age out within 35 days and where the law requires us to keep a copy.

We do not read your mail to target ads. We do not sell your content or use it to train artificial intelligence models. See our Data Protection Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to the content you use in the Service and that it does not break the law or anyone's rights. You are responsible for it. Content you make public, such as a Business Profile, an ad or a public share link, may be seen by anyone.

We own the Service itself, including the software, designs, names and logos. These Terms give you a personal right to use it and no other rights in it. Feedback you send us may be used by us freely, without payment.

14. Advertising on every plan

Every plan, free and paid, personal and business, is supported by a few labelled contextual ads. Ads are chosen by placement, country, language and the words on the page being viewed. They never use the content of your mail or your personal data. From 21 October 2026 every plan, free and paid, personal and business, shows a few labelled contextual ads. If you paid for a period that was sold without ads before that date, ads stay off for your account until that paid period ends. If you buy ads, our Advertising Policies apply. Every ad is reviewed before it runs, political ads are not accepted, and advertisers pay per click from ₹1 with a minimum daily budget of ₹100.

15. Our role as an intermediary

Indo Mail is an 'intermediary' under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We provide the means by which you store and send content, but we do not start the transmission, choose the receiver or choose or change the content in mail. Under section 79 of the Act and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (as amended), we are not liable for third-party information that passes through the Service, provided we follow due diligence.

That due diligence includes publishing these rules, removing or disabling unlawful content when we receive actual knowledge through a court order or a notice from an authorised government agency, acting on complaints through our Grievance Officer, preserving records where the law requires, and cooperating with lawful requests. Our Law Enforcement Guidelines describe how we deal with such requests.

Our Grievance Officer is Ejaz Ahmed, Grievance Officer, INDO CHATS PRIVATE LIMITED, grievance@indoemail.in, 168, GT Rd, near Aloka Cinema, Shibpur, Howrah, West Bengal 711102, India. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 7 days. Complaints about non-consensual intimate imagery are acted on within 24 hours. Copyright notices go to legal@indoemail.in with the subject 'Copyright notice'.

16. Suspension and termination

  • By you. You may close your account at any time in Settings. Closing it deletes your data after 30 days, as described in our Data Retention Policy. Please save what you need first.
  • By us, with notice. We may suspend or end your account if you break these Terms or the policies they refer to, if the law requires it, or if your account is a security risk. Where we can, we warn you first and tell you why.
  • By us, without notice. We may act at once, without notice, for serious harm such as child sexual abuse material, violent extremism, malware, phishing or fraud, or when a court or authority orders us to.
  • Appeals. You can appeal by writing to support@indoemail.in, and later to our Grievance Officer. See the Community Guidelines.
  • Inactive accounts. If a Free account has not been signed in to for 24 months, we may close it after giving you at least 60 days' notice by email to the account and to your recovery email.
  • After termination. Sections that by their nature continue, including sections 8, 13, 14, 16 and 17, remain in force. Unless the law says otherwise, fees for a paid period are not refunded when we end your account for your breach.
  • Inactive accounts. A personal account that is not used for 12 months is turned off after five reminders, as explained in our Account Management page. Nothing is deleted when it is turned off, and support can turn it back on within 90 days.

17. Availability and support

We work to keep the Service running, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, faults, third-party outages and events outside our control can interrupt it. Where we plan maintenance that is likely to affect you, we will try to give notice. Enterprise customers may agree service levels in their contract. Support is available at support@indoemail.in and help@indoemail.in. Priority support applies to Pro, and 24×7 support to Enterprise.

18. Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided 'as is' and 'as available'. We do not give any warranty that it will meet your needs, that mail will always be delivered or delivered quickly, or that spam and malware filters will catch everything. Features marked as planned are not available. We do not control what other people send you and do not guarantee that what they send is lawful or safe. Please keep your own copy of anything important. Nothing in this section removes any warranty or right that the law gives you as a consumer.

19. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, goodwill or data, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is higher.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or for anything that cannot be limited by law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

20. Sanctions and restricted regions

We follow sanctions laws. Paid plans and payments are not available to users in Iran, Cuba and Syria. The Service is blocked entirely in North Korea. You must not use the Service if you are on a government sanctions list or are acting for someone who is. We may block access or end an account where we believe these rules are being broken.

21. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us and our directors, officers and employees for loss, damage and reasonable legal costs arising from a third-party claim caused by your content, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of the law or someone's rights. We will tell you about the claim promptly and let you help defend it. This does not apply to a consumer where the law does not allow it.

22. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please first raise any dispute with support@indoemail.in and then with our Grievance Officer so that we can try to resolve it in good faith. Subject to your rights as a consumer, including the right to approach a Consumer Commission where you live or work, the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that arises from these Terms.

23. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms. For a material change, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the change is needed to comply with the law or to deal with an urgent security risk. If you do not agree, you may close your account before the date. If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the changed Terms. The current version is always on indoemail.in.

General: if a part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a business reorganisation if your rights are protected. These Terms, with the policies they refer to, are the whole agreement between you and us on the Service.

This document is governed by the laws of India.
